There's an empty white space in one of the workspaces at the Duderstadt Center, and I was asked to come up with ideas to fill it. Initially, I struggled to decide what I wanted to create. While I’ve designed plenty of posters, I’ve done fewer illustrative designs, so this was a great opportunity to "catch up" on a style I rarely explore.
After attempting to brainstorm digitally, I switched to pencil and paper, which felt much more natural. I aimed for a "graffiti" style, focusing on bold, visually connected lettering.
Once the sketch was complete, I scanned it and developed several variations using Illustrator and Photoshop.
