My most recent, and largest, project has been the design and development of the website you are using now. I wanted to create a fresh, unique portfolio website. Web-builders such as WordPress, Cargo.site, were fine, but I wanted to do it at a low cost and with my vision in mind. So I elected to code it myself in HTML, CSS, and Java, hosting it on a service called Neocities.
I first began by wireframing it out in Figma, which I have some sketches attached to the right. I was aiming to strike a balance between a fun, memorable look and the professional feel expected of a higher level graphic and web developer. Therefore I opted for muted, but striking colors, readable, classic text, and a fun layout. The header font, for example, is taken from the poster AKIRA, one of my favorite movies.
This project is in continuous development, as any portfolio is.
